The Setting

Finkley Hudson’s Field Nursery & Preschool has been carefully designed to create an environment to enhance every aspect of a child’s learning and development. We support babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in their journey with us.

We want to give your child a unique experience every day. Outdoors, the nursery has two garden areas which have been designed with children of all ages in mind. You’ll find a sensory pathway area, vegetable plots, flower beds, mud kitchen, bug hotel, parking garage and so much more. Our babies and toddlers even have their own garden.

Indoors, the younger children and babies have their own floor designed specifically to create a home from home feel. They have their own sleep and changing area, plenty of space for messy and sensory play, along with many more fun activities. As well as exclusive use of our soft playroom and the older children’s sensory room.

The older children also have their own floor where we have done away with conventional rooms and created a free flow environment. Here the children are free to explore the areas of their choice, such as messy play, craft, roleplay, reading and soft play.
